The new features are the smaller size, the less noisy running and more energy-efficient gaming. And it is much more affordable than the previous version.
The new PS3 Slim Console is 32% smaller, 36% lighter and it needs 34% less power than the previous model. The new Sony Playstation is a lot better in appearance as it is slimmer and not as heavy.

It has video chat, you can get in the Internet, there is a video photo viewing and digital audio and video.
The Slim PS3 Console brings games, home cinema and media all in one console.
With this new powerful gaming console you get high definition and you can play all the latest games. Just to give you some examples: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 10, Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Tekken 6, and Gran Turismo 5.

Rumors around the Slim PS3 Console

There are many rumours on what might follow the release of the New PS3 Slim. For example, there might be a price reduction in the original Playstation 3, or we might see a new design in the Slim PS3 Console.
But nothing is sure so far, this is just speculations based on a few pictures of the Slim PS3 Console on the Internet. At Kmart.com there are even suggestions that there will be a new hardware.

You may wonder why they don’t release the slim version in the first place and they give us the original version.

However, when Sony keeps releasing new consoles and upgrades consumers follow the trends faithfully.
