"PS3 slim installed below TV and I for one like the look of the new machine. The Slim is much smaller, the pics don't do it justice. The matt finish is different but I always thought the glossy finish of the old model was tacky and a pain to keep clean. Click buttons not a problem to me either. As for the noise reduction I'm not sure, the old PS3 was so much quieter than the 360 next to it that it never detracted from games or movies. Overall very pleased with update!"

"Ok so theres nothing groundbreaking or spectacular about this machine as opposed the it's predesesors, except one thing, IT WORKs, with unering quality, and with no lapses it works a treat. Previous incarnations suffered with lags, and stuttering but this just doesn't happen. It's quieter, the Iplayer is a nice little aaditon to the main menu, and its much more compact and easier to clean! I think there is a little space for more quality games but i am sure they will come! All in all a cracking machine and what the PS3 should have been on release! "

"I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on a release of the new slim PS3.

Sure, it may have lost a couple of features from my first generation model, but the positives certainly outweigh the negatives. There's little point in my comparing the stats; you can read that information in lots of other places.

An essential buy, particularly if you don't own a Blu-ray player yet.

Tip: Get the £14 Sony remote: it's much more natural than using the standard controller. "

"this is far more than just a games console.if you want to playback your photos then nothing else on the market will
deliver the quality this does.the internet looks fantastic on a hd tv and the playback via usb of mpeg/wmv format
video is superb.worth the money as a media player alone. "

"great gaming console the ps3 slim works perfectly and is dead quit it uses less power,takes up less space and is lighter plus i personally think it looks better then the first ps3 but the down side is that Sony have lowered the quality a little bit as there is no shiny surface and no silver plating around the cd tray but still it is great! i have had it for 6 days now and there is no problem with it i strongly recommend it."

"Got My PS3 slim yesterday, all i can say it's a fantastic piece of kit! I have found it to run alot quieter than the older fatter models,
for the price your paying its a steal, blue ray, wireless, free on-line gaming, and alot of fantastic exclusive games, uncharted, little big planet,
wipeout hd,killzone 2, gran turismo 5 (out soon) and too many more to mention! This is now the best time to buy a PS3, trust me you won't regret it!"
